If you have a groundworks or civils tender to price, start with the tender pack and the submission deadline. You do not need to organise everything perfectly before getting in touch, but it helps to say what is available and what is still missing.
The main documents
- The latest BoQ, drawings and specifications, with revision details.
- Ground investigation, drainage schedules and any relevant remediation or disposal requirements.
- Tender clarifications, access restrictions, programme requirements and the pricing return format.
Be clear about measurement and pricing
Tell me whether the BoQ quantities can be used as supplied, need checking or require a full measured take-off. Marked-up drawings, a quantity schedule and a priced BoQ are different outputs, so the quote should say which are included.
Rates that make the biggest difference
Your labour rates, plant costs, major supplier quotations and subcontract allowances help the pricing reflect how you intend to deliver the work. If you do not have prices yet, supplier contacts can still help. Missing rates are kept visible rather than treated as zero.
Agree the fee and completion date
The more complete the information, the easier it is to confirm a realistic fee and completion date. A small pack with reliable quantities is not the same scope as a full take-off and pricing exercise. Send the pack and I can confirm what is practical before you commit.
Need help with this work?
Send the information and your deadline. I will confirm the scope, fee and completion date before you commit.
